ABN Australia appoints a Senior Manager Accountant

ABN Australia appoints a highly experienced tax and accounting specialist as Senior Manager Accountant within its Tax and Accounting division.

Carman Lu brings more than 15 years of industry expertise to the role, with a proven track record across tax compliance, accounting, client portfolio management and leadership of both onshore and offshore teams. A Registered Tax Agent and Certified Public Accountant, she has worked extensively with both local and international clients, spanning industries such as professional services, technology, healthcare, property, retail and investment trusts.

Prior to joining ABN Australia, Carman served as Senior Manager in a Sydney-based company, where she led teams providing tailored tax and accounting services to high-net-worth individuals, SMEs and private family groups. She has also held senior roles in well-known companies, and completed an overseas business development assignment in Tokyo, supporting Australian businesses expanding into Japan.

Her extensive skill set includes advising on Capital gains tax (CGT), Goods and services tax (GST), pay as you go (PAYG), Division 7A, international structuring and superannuation strategies, along with extensive experience in financial reporting, corporate governance and strategic planning. Carman is also fluent in Mandarin and conversational in Japanese, adding further value to ABN Australia’s international client base.

Carman holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. She is also a Justice of the Peace (JP) in NSW.
